I am thankful to have seen Metallica perform, “Enter Sandman” at the 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concerts, October 30, 2009. They really raised the roof that night. Such raw, powerful energy. It is their signature song.
I loved the footage of NY Yankees Mariano Rivera running out from the bullpen in centerfield at Yankee Stadium behind them as they played Classic.
Uncut Magazine has an article about “The Making of…Metallica’s Enter Sandman”.
I love that Sir Paul McCartney is constantly reinventing himself. His latest ventures take us further into Web 3.0,with a rich multimedia experience accompanied by a vastly redesigned Website. The first hint I had of this new technology direction was an advertisement in the tour program booklet we picked up at the McCartney concert at Yankee Stadium this past summer.
The Website is powered by technology partner HP. The collaboration between HP and McCartney MPL Communications Ltd. is very exciting and stimulating for McCartney fans.
Sir Paul McCartney announced his brand new as yet untitled album yesterday in a press release on his blog 🙂 The first of his new songs that he has recorded only using his voice as an instrument is entitled, “My Valentine.” It is available as a preview for McCartney Collection Premium Account Members ($50). It is a striking recording that will reach your heart in a new musical fashion.
The premium account membership includes access to premium content, a lithograph, a plectrum, 4 button badges, membership card and letter, a t-shirt and high quality MP3 320kbs recordings of Good Evening New York City and Live at Hyde Park.
There is a lot to explore at McCartney.com. Go reacquaint yourself with your Beatle fan self. You know you want to 😉
I’m sitting here in my Paul McCartney, On The Run Tour 2011 t-shirt, still glowing from last night’s historic Paul McCartney concert at Yankee Stadium. We have seen Paul McCartney live four times since the 2002 Driving Rain Tour at Madison Square Garden. Saturday night’s show was absolutely the very best of all those concerts. The Macca organization has their act down pat and they execute a live performance in top-notch, flawless fashion.
We are members of the Paul McCartney Fan Club and our tickets were great. We sat in the right field line, field boxes in Row 15 in direct line with the stage. The backdrop of Yankee Stadium was magnificent, what a great way to see this venue for the first time in our lives with our dear friend Paul McCartney, creating so much fun and excitement 🙂
We especially liked the express train service from Stratford, Ct. to Yankee Stadium East 153rd Street. New York City in co-operation with Metro-North-MTA make this a beautiful thing. It’s then just a scant 10 minute walk to the stadium.
We had a beautiful, fun and loving time last night. We were blessed with an exquisite summer evening, cool, breezes, clear night air and a full moon. Our favorite moments were “All My Loving”, the Wings songs, “Mrs. Vanderbilit” (Ho, Hey, Ho), and “Live and Let Die”, love the explosions, laser lights and fireworks for starters.
It was thrilling when Billy Joel appeared for the first encore to play with Paul and the band, “I Saw Her Standing There”.
Then to for Paul and company to close with the Abbey Road medley “Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End” and all that cool confetti at the outset was the capping moment to a stupendous evening.
According to WCBS-FM,
In an epic performance, arguably more powerful than Friday night’s, Sir Paul is leaving NYC wanting more.
Enjoying the preliminary anticipation and excitement of seeing Sir Paul McCartney performing live at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx tonight. Will Billy Joel be joining him on stage?, we hope :). Stay tuned.
